May long weekend in the Okanagan is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year. Summer-like temperatures, clear blue skies, and green grass always make an appearance, bringing with them the fun in the sun that makes tourists from all over BC and Alberta flock to to the city while staying at a Kelowna hotel.

Ripe with fun-filled activities, Kelowna is a hot spot for sun-seeking tourists during the May long weekend. While lying on the beach and soaking up some much-needed Vitamin D is always a popular choice, the city is hosting a range of other unique activities for all ages.

May Days

Another great family event is the Annual Rutland May Days. Now in its 55th year, the event kicks off with a parade, followed by a day filled with amusement park rides, live music, concession stands, and more, all for a small fee. The fun starts May 15 and ends May 18.
