Kelowna Hotel Finds Business Travelers are Opting for Apps

The Best Western PLUS Kelowna Hotel and Suites has conference space to accommodate business gatherings from 10 to 230 people.  But, due to our great amenities and location, we get a lot of business travelers that opt to stay in our Kelowna accommodations when they are in town, even if their meetings are elsewhere.

Every industry has been enhanced somehow with the addition of the many applications for phones, tablets and notebooks. The Okanagan is home to many small to mid-sized businesses, and we have found several app suggestions ideal for our Kelowna business hotel guests. 


Abukai Expenses App

Abukai Expenses
When you stay in a hotel for business travel, you may have to file an expense report for your trip. Abukai Expenses is an app for filing business expense reports that includes some really cool features. After dining in our ORA Restaurant, for example, you can just take a picture of your receipt and submit it.

Primadesk App

If you share your docs via Cloud functionality, you may find your content getting a bit unruly. Primadesk is a free app that helps keep your cloud content organized. Users can perform universal searches across their online accounts in a centralized location. As you enjoy your wireless internet access in your Okanagan hotel room; you can search your Drop Box for that client file you uploaded back home.

Best Vendor App

We all like to know what others are up to, don’t we? The BestVendor app is a free app that lets you see the preferred apps of your peers and other businesses. You can even filter it by industry... maybe even allowing you to see the apps your competitors find useful.

SOS Online Backup App

If you’ve ever been the victim of a crashed computer, losing valuable docs and data, you’ll want to consider the SOS Online Backup app. This one has a monthly fee, but will pay for itself instantly in the event of a crash or hack. It backs up data across all platforms in real time with instant reloading of data.

Office Time App

Finally, if you are a freelancer, or have to keep track of billable hours, you’ll want to check out OfficeTime. It works across Mac, Windows and mobile devices, and if you find it doesn’t pay for itself in 120 days, they’ll refund your purchase!
