We're Counting Down to Earth Hour at Our Kelowna Hotel

March 26, 2012

What do you get when hundreds of millions of people, including our Kelowna hotel staff and guests, plan to participate in a global effort to draw awareness to protecting the planet?

You get Earth Hour!

On March 31, 2012 at 8:30pm, dedicated people from all over the world will unite and show their love of the earth by switching off their lights and thinking green thoughts for the future.

Need some inspiration?

The Best Western Kelowna Hotel is very committed to a greener planet, and we are constantly pursuing new green initiatives to further offset our carbon footprint.  We like to think we have green feet already, but we believe there’s always an opportunity to intensify that shade of green and challenge ourselves to do more.  So it’s only natural that we would be super excited to participate in this worldwide event! Together with our guests (who already have the option of participating in our EcoStay Program everyday of the year), the staff of our Kelowna hotel will be “switching off the lights” for an hour on March 31, 2012 at 8:30pm to show our dedication.

We encourage everyone on this beautiful planet, including fellow Kelowna hotels, to make a difference and participate in Earth Hour.  Every step counts when taken in the green direction and those steps can only be taken by people who want to make a difference in the world.  An hour, a day, a week…it all adds up.

We will if you will.

We want to know: What will you do to go beyond the hour to make a change and protect our planet for the future? Let us know on our Facebook page or send us a Tweet!

PS – Earth Day 2012 is coming up next month and you better believe we’re counting down to that too!
