With one week of Spring Break in Kelowna already underway, you and the kids might be in need of an itinerary packed with fun and nearly free activities.

For the Kids
Dino Discovery Days. Ever wanted to dig for bones and examine ancient dinosaur fossils? You can be a paleontologist for a day, play dinosaur games and bring home your very own handmade fossil at the Okanagan Heritage Museum.
This event costs $25 and runs March 19 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register by calling 250-868-4836.
Movie matinee, cartooning and Lego-building at the ORL. The Okanagan Regional Library’s Kelowna branch is showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. Check out this blockbuster at 1 p.m. on March 17. If you love Lego, build with them on March 21 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. And if you’re into cartooning, you won't want to miss the cartoon workshop on March 19 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

A live performance of Aladdin. Your kids can see this Disney classic on stage performed by the talented troupe of Studio9 elementary students.
The magic begins at 7 p.m. on March 17 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Tickets are $9 and can be bought at SelectYourTickets.com.
For the Teens
Hang 10 Friday Night at Big White. The fun begins when it gets dark at the Big White Ski Resort, home to Western Canada’s longest Quad Express Chair open for night skiing and snowboarding.
Race down all your favourite runs from the Plaza Lift, Bullet Chair and the terrain park from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on March 22. Lift tickets are just $10. Just a short drive up Highway 33 from your Kelowna Best Western.
