Spring Wine Festival & Best Western Kelowna

May 01, 2011 | by Christina Van

Spring Wine Festival | Best Western Kelowna HotelThe month of May is cause for much celebration here in the Okanagan. Beautiful weather and ability to put away winter shoes in exchange for sandals is certainly part of it, but here in the Valley we also welcome the Spring Wine Festival.

The Spring Wine Festival is a tradition that vineyard owners and wine aficionados eagerly anticipate. Between April 29 - May 8, things will be hopping here in Kelowna. More than 100 events happen during the festival - and we’re sure you will have a hard time deciding which to attend.

Whether you come for a couple of days or for the entire time, you’ll want to be here to kick-off the festival on April 29. The WestJet Wine Tastings at the Rotary Centre for the Arts is always a sell-out.  http://www.TheWineFestivals.com has more information on this, as well as all of the events. This is a “get home safe” event, sponsored by BC Liquor Stores and the Johnston Meier Insurance Group; so your ticket for the WestJet wine tasting includes a taxi ride back to our hotel (or wherever you are staying).

The Best Western Kelowna is the perfect place to relax in between wine tours, luncheons, dinners, and tastings. With our heated indoor mineral pool, hot tubs (that’s right... tubs), in-hotel spa, free hot breakfast, free wireless internet and more - you may not want to leave our hotel for the festivities.  But we hope you do, because the Okanagan Spring Wine Festival is a blast. We look forward to seeing you at the Best Western Kelowna soon!
