When your family finally gets a chance to take a holiday together, it should be easy. Fortunately, many Kelowna hotels love catering to families and offer a range of services and amenities to make your stay fun and relaxing!

To help you and your family make the most of your trip to the Okanagan, we’ve compiled a list of the top five services and amenities to look for in family-friendly Kelowna hotels.

1. Pool

What would a family trip be without a little swimming? Be sure your hotel has an indoor swimming pool so your kids can splash the day away. Even better, look for hotels with an indoor mineral pool for year-round swimming. These chemical-free pools are great for small and big swimmers with sensitive skin.

To ensure you can maximize your pool time, find out if the hotel has convenient pool opening hours that will work with other activities you have planned.

2. Suites

Chances are, your little ones go to bed before you and it’s no fun sitting quietly in the dark next to your sleeping toddler. With a suite, you have access to a separate bedroom so you can stay up and read, watch TV or enjoy a drink before you hit the sheets.

Hotel suites also often offer other amenities such as fridges, stovetops, and microwaves so you have easy access to warm snacks or bottles.

3. Cribs

Toting around those heavy, space-hogging playpens can be tiresome. If you have an infant, look for hotels that provide play pens, or even better, cribs on wheels. They might be smaller to fit easily through doorways, but they’ll probably feel a bit more like home for your little one, and set up is a snap. Just bring a crib sheet that smells like home for easy bedtimes.

4. Green space

Kids need to run around and shake out their sillies, but many hotels don’t have nearby places to play. If your hotel has a grassy area or courtyard, you can let your children and your pets get some safe exercise and fresh air right outside your door.

5. Hot breakfast

Access to a warm and readymade breakfast can make starting the day so much nicer for parents and little travelers. When you’re searching for Kelowna hotels, check to see if they offer a warm breakfast and whether or not it’s free. If they’re used to toast or cold cereal, treat your children to waffles to really see them smile.

When you and your family stay at pet-friendly Kelowna hotels such as the BEST WESTERN PLUS Kelowna Hotel & Suites, you can enjoy a mineral pool, suites, grassy courtyard, cribs, hot FREE breakfast, and more.
