KELOWNA, BC/CANADA – May 2014 – The BEST WESTERN PLUS Kelowna Hotel & Suites announced today that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award for the fourth consecutive year.

The award uses guest ratings to reward hospitality excellence, and is given only to those that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, with other factors like volume and recency of reviews being accounted for. Other criteria include a business’s tenure and popularity on the site.

“We are so pleased to win the certificate of excellence,” said Brenda Rayburn, Director of Sales and Marketing for the BEST WESTERN PLUS Kelowna Hotel & Suites, “Travel seekers trust and depend on TripAdvisor, and there is no better metric of a hotel’s performance than a recent guest. We’re honored that our guests have enjoyed their stays here so consistently.”

TripAdvisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence,” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers. From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.”

Rayburn recognizes that while the Best Western Kelowna Hotel received a top score overall, there are still travelers who may not have always enjoyed their stay, and they want to ensure those guests know they can always expect a genuine reaction from management. “I personally believe the reader accepts that while we strive for exceeding expectations, there will be moments when we fall short,” said Rayburn, “The real mirror to the truth is how one handles any particular situation, and we remain committed to the swift and honest handling of any situation to alleviate any discomfort of our guests.”
